It's exactly 7:33 am Sunday. I'm just about done with my morning cup of jo. I only have the one lamp on and the tv is off. My husband has left for work and my son is sound asleep in our bed. It's quiet and peaceful and glorious right now. And I'm taking full advantage of this quiet alone time because it doesn't come often.
I check my Instagram, Snapchat and emails. And now I'm writing this because I want to be more present here. In the past years, blogging has come last on my list. Laundry and dishes and art and just living has all taken precedence.
This blog is an extension of me and I need to feed it with good things or things that I feel good about. Real things. Crafty things. You get the idea.
Today I share a little "realness" that is my desk. It is in a constant state of chaos but there are times when it is tidy. This day was not one of those days. Pens, pencils, paint brushes, a cold cup of coffee, a very well loved Get To Work Book, an old Passport I need to renew, a half dead succulent that's hanging on by a thread and a pencil that reminds my dramatic "everything is coming to an end" side to chill the f*ck out.
Later this week, I'm going to post my first "vlog" if you will. Well...maybe not vlog. More like a super amateur video I did of me showing you how I put the start page together for my 2016 Project Life album. It's rough and it's actually been done for a few weeks. I've just been a little frightened to post it.
But it will go up because I just put it out there and now you know about it and will hold me to it, right? :)
Happy Sunday.
