I was really touched when Kara asked if I could contribute to her new project for Babe Vibes. It's a Pep Talk Generator which I think is something very special and very necessary for us babes. Too often, we talk ourselves down when we should be talking ourselves up.
My talk is something I struggle with and is very personal and maybe slightly confusing to some. I always feel like I should be prepared for the worse and often I do by not allowing myself to be truly happy which is just weird and silly…I'm fully aware of this. I taught myself at an early age to always have my guard up and to never really be hopeful of what I wanted in life. The let down and hurt was always something I couldn't bare and would lead to depression. It's how coped. These 2 things made me pretty rough around the edges and always somewhat sad and bitter.
Life has been pretty good these past several years and it's time I start to really acknowledge that. Not allowing the negative bits to cloud over the good. To recognize that bad situations will come and go.
Becoming a mom to a vivacious and super affectionate boy has really cracked my hard exterior that I worked so hard to create for myself. Our life together as a family has made me face the things that hold me back to a better life, not just me but for all of us.
I now thank God every day for what I have been given and for what I've achieved as an individual and a mom. Prayers usually consisted of "why" and "why not" when it should have been "I am grateful for…" all along.

The LLP shop is still closed for the time being. I've decided to make some changes and take some leaps. The shop will reopen next week at my old Etsy location since they now offer instant downloads on digital items. There will also be some new digital prints added as well!

We're digging ourselves out of a weekend of non-stop snowfall. It was really quite pretty and I can't complain about it one bit. We are guaranteed a white Christmas, that's for sure.

I'm sitting outside on one of the most beautiful fall days, taking in deep breaths of the cold autumn air. I watch Tyler run in his little boots...back + forth across the fallen leaves. Our dog is sitting against my legs as I pat her side and rub her ears. My husband is standing in the doorway, smiling at me from across the yard where I'm sitting, wrapped in my favorite grey sweater under the birch tree. I'm reminded of this quote, "I urge you to please notice when you are happy, and exclaim or murmur or think at some point, 'If this isn't nice, I don't know what is.'" - Kurt Vonnegut 
It's been a long while but that's not unusual for the LLP blog. I serisouly have no clue what to do here anymore. I use to talk about my everyday office antics but now it's all toddler fits + Instagram.
