I've been spending lot's of time in my office since making it a more productive space. Plus it's the warmest spot in the house and I don't need to wear mass layers to stay warm. I would normally opt to work downstairs on the dining room table because of the light (and easy access to the kitchen) but here, there are minimal distractions and don't laugh but the chi is good.
I once read that your bed should face the door or something about not having your back to the door. I can't remember the exact detail but it always stuck with me. A few months ago, I moved my desk to face the window and had my back against the door. I hated it but liked the little bit of extra floor space. I ended up changing it back over the weekend because of that off feeling I was getting. Now there's a better flow.
My desk is a mess right. I'm up to my eyeballs in deadlines and as much as I like a clean desk, the mess is a good sign of things happening.
That little bear ceramic cup is one of my Portland treasures. Jamaica, the enabler that she is, talked me into it but I kept gravitating towards him and she knew he needed a home. Purchased at Anthropologie.
The pegboard that still isn't fully situated but I kinda like all that empty space.
someone really needs to take out the trash. yikes.
good vibes on my windowsill.
The usual, stacks on stacks.
I often reach for books when I'm looking for design inspiration. Vintage children's books are some of my favorites.
I keep a pan of things that I plan to incorporate into my Project Life album which is getting quite full.
